Engineering / Technical Services

Our Engineering and Technical Services Department is staffed with highly trained, quality driven individuals with over 40 years of combined experience in the aviation industry. They remain a focal point for technical data assistance in support of your certification requirements. The department is well equipped with modern computers and the latest versions of Solidworks, AUTOCAD, CATIA and Adobe Photoshop. They maintain an elite relationship with all of the functional departments within MSA with the ability and power to provide direct input at all levels of project implementation, from initial design to final production. It is common for them to work directly with customers, and they have an open line of communication with representatives of the FAA.

Research & Development

MSA utilizes a thorough Research & Development process in the creation of a new customer's shade system. This department is an integral part of the product development and is responsible for the elaboration of new shade system prototypes and investigation into new technologies that may be applied to existing or future MSA products. R&D also provides assistance in resolution of production problems in current MSA products. Staffed with experienced and proficient personnel, the department's experience provides depth of insight to analyze and arrive at meaningful production designs and problem resolution.

Program Management

From concept to production, the complexity of developing and implementing a new program can be daunting. Our Program Management team has the experience and knowledge to provide focus and coordination to ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications and schedules. They will work with your team in planning and design, and then coordinate our interdepartmental functions for prototyping, testing, and certification. Every phase of the project is carefully monitored to ensure that it is completed on schedule and in accordance with the customer's requirements. But it doesn't stop there. Once development is complete the program manager will continually monitor production activity to assure timely delivery of orders.

Repair / Refurbishmnet

In order to improve support of our products, MSA utilizes the expertise of the Aero Shade Technologies repair station certificate. The "limited accessory" rating allows MSA to provide maintenance, alterations and preventive maintenance services in support of existing MSA modular window shade assemblies. Actions such as overhaul, repair, part replacement (including color changes) and alterations are completed by repair station personnel.
